Mercure Oostende is situated only 250 metres from the sandy beach and from the Casino Kursaal. The hotel is located close to the main shopping area of Ostend. Private parking is available near the hotel for a surcharge.

The hotel is central & close to the Christmas market

It is in need of a refurbishment, which is ongoing. I think that should have been stated before we travelled ! The room we had was very tired with bleach marks on the carpet, the landings are also in need of some attention. The main areas were great, I think that they had just been finished.

The room was comfortable, but rather small. It was nice to find a few free drinks in the fridge (but better coke zero instead of classic). The small terrace at our room on the 9th floor was nice.

The price was fairly high.

Clean busy-area hotel with friendly staff and some minor inconviniences

The hotel is in the best place, 1-2 streets from the harbour, beach and party area. There is a huge public parking just a few meters from it. The hotel is kept clean, but obviously, they are in high demand, so some wear is visible. The room vas comfortable and the staff is very nice, they changed the towels without question, when we asked, because it had a dump smell and when we left they gave us 2 bottles of water for the heat.

The rooms indeed could use some renovation, but it's the usual hotel wear (like unremovable stains on the carpet, etc.), the cleaning service is good. As many people said the walls are thin, you can hear the people in the next room.

Nice hotel, well situated.....crazy price for breakfast!

The hotel was clean and comfortable and most of the staff were friendly and helpful (especially the lady behind the bar).

On arrival, the receptionist was not very helpful with the response to each question being "it's impossible", delivered with a warm smile! Eventually another receptionist was more helpful.

Location was nice, room standard but pleasant as was the entrance and staff and food

For the rate we paid, would have expected an exceptional room but it was a little tired. The free mini bar as part of the deal was just 3 small bottles of soft drink and nothing else.

Location, friendly and cooperative staff on reception, quite and comfortable rooms

Room cleaning only by request. Too poor quality cleaners. Absolutely inadequate cleaning staff. They really can enter in your room independent of label on door and your voice request.

A very pleasant and interesting stay with very nice people.

Breakfast was excellent. The situation in the town was super. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Unfortunately the room was just too small. The shower room was miniature. The room size would prevent us from returning to the hotel again.

My stay was made comfortable by a clean room with helpful staff.

The hotel is very clean and modern, very minimalist making use of all the space. I liked that for breakfast there was a waffle machine and you could make your own fresh waffles. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

In the family room one of the beds should be a double for the adults. It would be great if the restaurant served dinner.
